Welcome to the Double L Branch!
We're glad you found us! We are very excited to introduce our family history website. Our
hope is that it will eventually become a wealth of genealogical information and historical finds for our family.
If you have any information, photos, anecdotes, clues for us, please let us know.
Where did the name "Double L Branch" come from? The name has a couple inspirations.
Since I'm starting with my generation and working backwards, the name in part stands for my sister (Karlyn Gayle) and I (Taryn LeeAnn) as the Double L - the two Lewis sisters - the Branch of our family tree we represent.
The Double L also stands for our parents - our father is a Lewis and our Mother is a Lilly.
There will be others of course, but the main surnames here will be Lewis and Mosher on our father's side, and Lilly, Houghton and McFarland on our Mother's side.
Dedicated
This site is dedicated to those who came before us, and also honors the hard work so many have done to trace our family history. We want to thank all those whose research, time and dedication to our
family heritage have made this project possible.
Getting Around the Site
A few notes to help you get started. If at any time you need some guidance, there is a Help/FAQ page
accessible from the top right of each page. If you think of something that would be helpful to have in
the FAQ section, please let me know.
To look for a specific person, start with the Search function at the left or click on Surnames
to view all the surnames in the database. From here, you can further sort the list alphabetically.
As you're navigating the site, if you find a page you don't want to forget, click the Bookmark link near the top of that page.
Later, you can view your bookmarks from the main site menu on the left.
I encourage you to play with the rest of the menu items on the left. What's New will let you know what's been added or changed
in the last week. Most Wanted will have information that's either missing or incomplete, and we're hoping you can help!
Privacy & Accuracy
In order to protect their privacy, personal information for living individuals is not posted on this site. However, if you are a family member and
would like to view this information, you may request a User Account in the Administration menu on the left.
I will make every effort to ensure that all information posted here is correct. If you see an error, or if you can provide
missing information, please let me know.
Credit
This project is a collaborative effort, and many thanks are due to those who have helped me along the way.
Much of the research for information posted here was performed by other people who have been so kind as to share their
findings with me. Where sources are not cited, that piece may be under construction, or I may be in the process of back-tracking and adding sources for personal interviews.
